VB81's Annoying feature!

Post by dessony »

XavSnap,

I used the VB81 program to edit other programs. Whenever I pressed "Shifted 8", Capture ZX Screen dialog appeared on my screen... I also had to press a red square with its "x" to continue. It was really annoying! :x My main purpose of using shifted 8 is to move a cursor to the right side of the screen, not conjuring Capture ZX Screen onto the current screen! So, please use "Ctrl" or "Alt" 8 or "Fn" to conjury the screen capture and reducing annoying on my side.
Please consider it as if you have real hardware. Does the real ZX81/TS1000 conjury the capture ZX screen whenever you press a shifted 8? I would answer it as "No!"

Thank you very much in advance.

It's due to your Windows config set to the QWERTY (ENG) English keyboard.
The "*" character (like F11) get a screen capture…

I never target this bug, my keyboard is an AZERTY set and… i use the keyboard cursor set to Shifted 8 !

I will remove this short-cut key assigned to get a screen shot.
[EDIT: binary exe zipped file rebuilt on the dedicated download website, Shifted 8 reassigned to the ZX81 keyboard
Many thanks Dessony!]

But, to avoid this, set the keyboard cursor to get this key.

XavSnap,

You are most welcomed. :) Can you supply me with a link here to the dedicated download website? :?:

This "issue" isn't released as a new major version:
http://zx81.vb81.free.fr/download/VB81_XuR_EXE.zip

(Just copy the exe file, and you don't need to reinstall the DLLs!)
