Saving a z81 file in eightyone as .P or TZX

I managed to do this a couple of years ago.. and have been trying hard to repeat this yesterday without success.
Can someone please do a step by step for this procedure before I lose all my hair.. I have looked on here for help but it still doesnt seem to work. I know I am probably doing something wrong.

OK!!!! I was missing something vital out.... I wasn't "SAVING" the file.. DOH!

Not at the computer right now but IIRC, you need to bring up. The virtual tape deck and from there you can save files, only single entries can be saved as .P files where as multiple files can be saved as .TZX

load the memory snapshot "Z81" and type save"hello" ...
