Have a look to "WinTZX", "PLAYTZX"
A TZX player.
"TzxManager" can extract binarys ... too.
... OTLA Fast-Load Project .... tooo.
... Vb81 XUR : Save"PROG.FL".... tooo.

"ZxSound" ??? (No it's a "P" to wav !)

Is there anything to convert a P file into a TZX (for later conversion to a WAV) or something to convert a P file directly to a WAV?

I use this one now:
http://yerzmyey.republika.pl/zxc.exe
It gives You RAW files (from P) but it's easy to convert them to WAV in any sample-editor.

Ah, as for P=>TZX I use simply EightyOne emulator (its "tape" panel actually).
