This should now be fixed (again) in version 1.35.

In versions 1.34 and 1.35 I am unable to save a snapshot (no matter if the emulator holds a program or has just been restarted). I receive the error -

Access Violation at address 00579940 in module 'EightyOne.exe'. Read of address 012A3000.

A snapshot file is created, but it is unreadable - it will result in the emulator hanging and beeping when trying to load it OR will give the error -

Access violation at address 76F9F653 in module 'ntdll.dll'. Write of address 00000014.

I have removed EightyOne.ini without improvement. I haven't tested version 1.33. However version 1.32 works just fine, so I am sticking with this version for now.

Despite raising this issue, I would like to say what a fantastic emulator EightyOne is.

The Spanish keyboard layout help screen of the Spanish Spectrum 128 introduced in 1.35 is also applicable to the Sinclair ZX Spectrum with Spanish EPROM and the Inves Spectrum+. All 3 were made by Investrónica by the way.

Yes, Paul’s (Fruitcake) work on maintaining and improving EightyOne is much appreciated. As is his other work on Sinclair ZX80, ZX81 and ZX Spectrum projects.

So a very grateful thank you from me 8-) :ugeek:

I see that when I choose the ZX81 with Timex ROM cartridge, it already shows 3 cartridges available. When I run it, these cartridges do not start unless one runs RUN USR 8192 or change the machine ROM to TS1500.ROM - then it starts automatically. But the drop-down box for the ZX81 roms only lists the 3 known ZX81 roms by default (neat!), but omits the TS1500 rom. Yeah, I can manually choose it too, but just a thought ;)

The supplied TS1510 roms are missing 07-9004, but I'm afraid I have no means to dump mine to include it for the next release (I do have a 1510).

Thanks for the photos. They are a handy reference as I don't own any of these models and so had to base things on information I found online. Are the ROMs of the Spanish Spectrum+ and Inves Spectrum+ identical? And is the one I included the correct one?
