SZ81 running from EmulationStation, Esc key doens’t leave

i'm now trying to run SZ81 via EmulationStation (tried on GNU/Linux only, perhaps it's the best choice for RaspberryPi+RetroPie as well?), but when i want to leave the emulation for returning to EmulationStation via Esc key, that doesn’t work - is that some misconfiguration, or is SZ81 really missing this feature?

Exit should be via F10 - does that work?
