Hello from Skegness, England

Post by merman »

Hi there,
My name is Andrew Fisher, and I am a writer specialising in retro gaming.

I currently write the "homebrew" column for Retro Gamer magazine, looking at new games for old machines.

I'm always on the lookout for game projects to preview and review, to include in the "News Bytes" column, and for people to interview.

It would be great to feature plenty of ZX content in there in future, so if you have a game in development or recently released then get in touch.

It never ceases to amaze me how much people are getting out of machines like the ZX81. So if that's you, let me know.

Howdy.. Me and my buddy Don did a version of Donkey Kong (Zonkey Kong) for 16k with standard graphics and are about 2/3 the way through a game inspired by Robotron called Robotack. Its in high-res, with sound and uses a Joystick, being designed for the ZXPAND hardware add-on. Should have that one done this year. Main game play is done, just adding the fancy bits now.

Hi Andrew,

I too like to write games for the zx81 in 1K. Recently I released QDepthcharge and currently working on QAstro Invaders (the Q stands for quarter screen).

See the "New ZX81 Games" thread too for some amazing games.
