Welcome to our forums
Hmmm Newcastle upon Tyne, that sounds familiar.
Been there several times by ferry from IJmuiden.
Once even by recumbent bike.
Always for a holiday, so rather good memories.
We are trying to help as good as we can.

I also interested in BASIC and its dialects on retro platforms - at me now 8 different retro computers with BASIC. As for me - best choice is MSX BASIC. I do not like Microsoft, but their BASIC for MSX2 is really good. BASIC for ZX Spectrum is also good, but not so functionality with graphics as MSX. Anyway welcome there and good luck in programming for fun.
