Hello From Connecticut

Post by Tom_F »

Received a TS1000 as a Christmas present in 1982, which was my introduction to computer programming, starting with BASIC and eventually working my way up to Z80 Assembler.

Just recently acquired a ZX80 and a PC 8300, and am now reacquainting myself with my first computing platform.

Best Regards,
Tom F.

Welcome Tom. Your history sounds like mine. My first computer was a TS1000 I also got on Christmas in 1982 and I learned Z80 assembly on it. Great people think alike :D

Hi Tom_F,

I bought a TS1000 computer after I recognized that a college computer lab had its time limiting accessing to their own computer systems (DEC VAX). However, we welcome you to this forum!

Cheers,

Hello from Buffalo, NY, Tom!

I got my 1000 for my birthday or xmas in 82 as well.

I’ve scanned and uploaded a ton of stuff on archive.org, it’s worth checking out.

Best,
David
