Hello all!
Just a quick intro as it is now 01:48 and hopefully my 2 week old will go to sleep soon...
The first computer I ever touched was a ZX81. I was mesmerised! I could not believe that something so small could do so much. And with 1K!
I soon graduated to a 16k Spectrum which was a further revelation - colour and sound no less. And a keyboard you could use far more easily.
I learnt my first lessons in BASIC and programming on my speccy.
I recently bought a speccy again and for a few minutes after opening its box and switching it on I felt like a 12 year old again. Amazing feeling.
Since then I have acquired a ZX81 (and have a ZXpand for it), and a toastrack which I think I love most of all as a I can play Bards Tale with crystal clear graphics thanks to its SCART output.
I would have quite liked to have got the Dragons Lair SD card I saw on sell my retro but I missed the boat while waiting to get a ZXpand.
I also own a couple of beebs and a mega drive. As well as a few boring modern computers I have to have for work and stuff.

Hello and welcome to Sinclair ZX World .
It all started for me playing on ZX81s and ZX Spectrums in shops in the early 1980's. My sister and I then got a ZX Spectrum (rubber key) for Christmas. And as soon as I could, I opted for Computer Studies at School (which had two BBC B Micros).
I never got rid of my Spectrum, but did get a dk'tronics keyboard. So threw away the original rubber keyboard. So when I bought another rubber key ZX Spectrum, it did "refresh" childhood memories

Looking forward to summer later in the year.

Sadly I didn't keep any of my original computers. I have few regrets in life but they are up there!
My first plan on here is to find out whether there is much difference between the ZX8-CCB board and the ZXVid (apart from the price) as my zeddy needs a much improved video output and I am broke with the run up to Xmas.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all - I wonder how many people found a nice ZXpand under their tree?
