I had never seen the inside of a diode.. and that capacitor... :shock:

Wonder if anything survived.

On boards that have the DC/DC converter circuitry modification, in the D12 position a resistor is actually fitted, the value and type being 2.2kΩ 5%, 0.25W.

So to kill that, well…

Can’t imagine any of the 4116 (or equivalent) DRAM chips are functional…
