interface one repair help needed

Hi forum ,

What must happen/ can be expected , when i hook up an interface one to my spectrum ??

i fear there is not much going on , but need a bit more advice here .

Crystal looks a bit poor , 8mhz so easy to replace .

But how can i determine if the if-one is working ?

When you plug it in it should add some extra commands to BASIC to control the Microdrive and RS port / network.
If these commands work then it is at least part working. Some of them are listed here:

So , nothing should be visible at the startup screen of my speccy .

only extra commands show its working presence .


mmm , now to get to those commands

i am afraid there is not that much response form if1 .

are those commands IN the if1 , or are they present in the speccy ?? ( to see where it goes wrong )

For a any of the new commands and functions and for existing commands and functions that have extra options, the ULA in the ZX Interface 1 pages in it's own 8K ROM.
