It would be interesting to know how the specifications of this compare with the Harlequin, Pentagon and ZX Evolution clones which are all available on sellmyretro.com already

The specification of AVR ZX Spectrum is simplier then any other clone of ZX Spectrum, consisting of total 8 chips:
Atmega128-16AU - 2 pcs (central processor, Video processor)
Attiny2313-20SU - 2 pcs (keyboard controller, AY music processor)
74AC373MTC - 1 pcs (low address latch)
74AC257D - 2 pcs (RAM page multiplecsor, video multiplecsor)
CY7C1049D-10VXI - 1 pcs (RAM, 512K)
AVR ZX Spectrum V2_2 have TurboSound module with Kempston interface, so there is no one Attiny2313-20SU, but threr is Atmega8 - 2 pcs + 74ACH244D - 1 pcs for joystick register
