A quick search on eBay lists 12 replies for TZXduino.

There are both cheap assembled devices and raw PCBs.

Thanks - Ordered an assembled version.
The lazy choice - i know...;o)

Is it possible to transfer programs from EightyOne to the Lambda, from PC soundcard into the Lambda EAR input?
It is certainly possible with some emulators to output “loading sounds” to the “retro” computer. But I don’t know if EightyOne can do this.

One problem with any modern audio device, including laptops and PCs, is that the volume level is not high enough. So an external audio amplifier is needed.

Hi Mark

Just made a wav-file within EightyOne.
This weekend i will try to load it into the Lambda via PC soundcard.
Will reply with the result.
Some measurements from todays test (see attached file for details. In Danish - Sorry!)

1. Dictaphone, signal level below 1 Volt.
2. Dictaphone with amplifier, signal level 3,4V above 0V (peek to peek =5,4V)
3. Shoebox cassette recorder, signal level 2,5Volt above 0V (peek to peek =5,0V)
4. From EightyOne emulator soundcard turned up to 100%, signal level 0,3V above 0V, (peek to peek =0,9V)
5. From EightyOne emulator soundcard turned up to 100%, with amplifier, signal level 1,0V above 0V (peek to peek =4,0V)

None of the above setups has succesfully loadet data into the Lambda8300.

As Mark mentioned earlier: The level of PC's, mobilephones and dictaphone are so low-level that an amplifier is needed.
No more testing, I will await my TZXduino which hopefully will be able to transfer data to my Lambda.
