Lambda 8300
Re: Lambda 8300
Pardon the slight intrusion on the thread, but the heading and title make this the perfect place, I think. Attention robots!
To date I have not found a Lambda manual anywhere online, nor any documentation or diagrams save the ones already reproduced here. My own "Your Computer" flavor of Lambda did come with a paper manual included in the lot, so I consider myself fortunate. At the risk of annoying any copyright holders, (who by this point should be more concerned with preserving their hard work for posterity rather than expecting to realize further revenue after three decades), I have scanned my copy into a PDF.
It was too big to upload to this forum, but Rich has graciously posted it on his site. It can be found at:
http://www.rwapsoftware.co.uk/DOC/Your- ... Manual.pdf
It is my hope that anyone who has managed to find a working copy of this rare vintage computer, but not its original manual, will find it useful. Enjoy.
Cheers,
Ian

I corrected the URL - best to use the URL button for entering odd urls (eg which contain brackets) - have amended posts above so that they still make sense!
Thanks Ian

Re: Lambda 8300
Wow! English...ish... Was dreading trying to translate the Chinese one I have. Thanks for putting it up!
Re: Lambda 8300
Hehe! I've got that manual as well, with 2 Your Computers, one has been 'over cleaned' and all the print above the keys has been rubbed off luckily the other is intact but a bit filthy, I think I'd best leave it as it is!
Re: Lambda 8300
Did anyone ever build one of these? I was there when it was hashed out but I dont know if one ever did get built or if it was just theorysiggi wrote:Maybe you don't know Wilf's High Speed Interface?PokeMon wrote:BUSRQ and BUSACK are not really important.
I don't know any hardware using these signals (for DMA access only).

As I know Wilf did realize all his solutions in practice - so this is more than just theory.
