I still don't see a photo. Use the attachments tab below the edit box to attach a jpeg/jpg image. Note that there is a maximum size limit.

Or if using a PC and compatible browser, drag the image file from a folder to the edit box.

In both cases, wait for the upload to complete before posting.

That's a strange one

All Sinclair made computers had Sinclair on the top left rear of the case. Plus various details as part of the plastic on the bottom.

Although Sinclair did not actually manufacture the hardware themselves. In the U.K. Timex did the manufacturing.

This ended at some time after Amstrad bought the computers part of Sinclair Research Ltd (but Sinclair Research Ltd continued continued to trade as it was never sold to Amstrad).

After the sale, Amstrad owned all computer and related stock that Sinclair had owned. Plus the trade marks and other UP relating to the Sinclair Spectrum.

I wonder if Timex later found some stock that was never owned by Sinclair or if they had some stock that had been intended for the other markets (that were not controlled by Amstrad), and hence adapted the case mould. They could not use the Sinclair or ZX Spectrum names, hence the blanks.

Have you powered it on? If yes, what does it say on the start up screen?

Here’s some photos of one of mine. This particular one having the last known PCB revision (issue 6A):

I sort of tuned in an old TV with a home made coax.Through a fuzzy picture I can read, copyright symbol 1982 Sinclair Research L.t.d.
Not sure what it should look like. Will look for a better cable.

That’s the normal “copyright” screen that confirms that it’s the normal ZX Spectrum ROM.
