IDE option in Eightyone emulator

Post by Crayon21 »

What is the IDE option in Eightyone? what does it do?

I've noticed it is available for all the emulated computers so any help would be appreciated

In Heck, there are two options for perpetual torment:

Eat the Puckerberry and suffer for eternity:
drink nothing but a cocktail of The Last Dab and Mexican Cake blended and served with
habanero slices

I assume that FDC is for a “Floppy Disc Controller” and IDE is for “Integrated Drive Electronics” - so basically a hard disc controller. The terms were in common use for PC hardware back in the 80s.

As it’s a multi-platform emulator I imagine they are standard options, but how they apply to a ZX81 I would not know.
