How to run .TRD spectrum files ?

Post by bola_dor »

Hi. I just came across this by curiosity..
I am used to Eighty One to emulate and test ZX81 and Spectrum 48 files..
I didn't found an easy way to load .TRD images..
One way I thought (but is not so easy to implement) is to emulate a DivIDE interfase but I think then I need to make a .vhd disk image installing EXTDOS to it and then copy trd files into it.. I don't see an easy way to do this :oops:
I think There should be another way.. or may be another emulator.. ?
Thanks..

TRD= TR-DOS

It's a disk image file to mount on a virtual drive.

The TRD format is a pure sequential, sorted dump of the disk sectors. The formatting is guessed by the emulator depending on the file size.
I suggest to try with SAMDISK, it is usually able to convert to other disk dump formats by adding the needed extra detail.
