Zx spectrum 128k
Zx spectrum 128k
is there any noticeable difference between the 128k model and the 48K version, other than basic?

Re: Zx spectrum 128k
There are some "noticeable" differences as follows:
1. 128KB RAM vs 48KB RAM
2. different timings
3. embedded AY PSG chip on board
4. RGB video output on board
5. second video memory bank

Re: Zx spectrum 128k
Actually, apart from a small number of extra commands, the BASIC itself is the same. The 128K BASIC however uses a full screen editor instead of a line editor. This new editor accepts command words and function words as normal typed in, letter by letter entry rather than the 16k/48k keyword entry system.
Although if you wish, you can go back to 16k/48k BASIC and line editor if you want.
