Note, the audio is somewhat choppy. This is an artifact of the video
making process and my slow computer not the ZX81 program.

Re: TAPTools for ZXPand+
I remember playing with this (MIDI2AY) about fifteen years ago and it wasn't very good then to be honest.
Any MIDI tracks used are limited to three channels so orchestral work is out plus it cannot emulate/transpose, call it what you will, drums or chords.
A lot of faffing with the MIDI has to be done octave wise for it to transpose correctly and basically you are limited to simple single note compositions and most of the time, the timings of the channels are way off. The best I ever managed was Debussy's Arabesque using a single channel only.
Tried this for old times sake and whilst it converted a few simple piano pieces, the player wouldn't play anything. Either total silence or some guff about AY data not found and this is after following the video to the letter.
Doesn't work at all with real zeddy ( either classic or spand + ) just crashes after selecting a TAP file.
The files included in the package all convert and play just as they did way back then when I first used this, but using ones own files just brings the above results so can only assume the files chosen for the example were doctored in some manner to convert readily as I cannot get any files of my own to play after conversion and these are simple 2 channel piano pieces.
