Requesting Help to Load a .WAV file.
I'm unable to fully load a ZX-81 game I wrote in Machine Code 33 years ago. I tried Audacity with limited success and am even considering an Arduino or Schmidt-Trigger/Op-amp solution to clean up the pulses. Anyone care to take a crack at it? The cover is a bit embellished, but everyone did that.
Thanks,
Jeff

Re: Requesting Help to Load a .WAV file.
Version 2 of the audio file, before any transformations were applied in Audacity.

Not sure if the second ZIP file uploaded. Re-attaching.

Re: Requesting Help to Load a .WAV file.
I managed to load the file and run it, but the game screen remains static. However, pressing BREAK returns to BASIC and so it isn't crashing. Placing a breakpoint at 18823 shows that the machine code is being run at the correct entry point and it does go through the motions of regularly checking the keyboard. I think you'll need to step through the machine code to find out why the game is not moving anything about the screen.
Re: Requesting Help to Load a .WAV file.
Interesting findings.
I'll post some other .WAV files of other applications and games for anyone to try to load.
Thank you for your attempt.

Hmm, results through my own mechanism echo Fruitcake's results, although our files are not exactly the same. I got it to load apparently successfully, but it doesn't seem to respond to cursor arrow keys as expected. My failure could be a pebkac error.
Here's my result Jeff:
And the equivalent as a clean .wav file:
How did I load it? With the Scrubber-Dubber discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1211 This toy works folks. Let's get those kits rolling.

Here's a ZIP file of ZX-ONN from another tape.
Good luck

Re: Requesting Help to Load a .WAV file.
Can't seem to load that one, as there are audible dropouts in the otherwise very clear track. Could it be that your PC was overloaded while recording the .wav file? Could you try dubbing it again?

Here's a plethora of stuff I wrote: https://we.tl/t-elSVx3pZAI
As before, I've been having problems loading this 33 years stuff If you are able to load a copy, please share a .WAV or .P file.
Good luck.
