Re: Logo for the forum? Easier URL?
Hmm, more problems...
I normally use the "View active topics" page to keep track of err, active topics.
However, when I click on the "View first unread post" icon, the page that I actually get, is the first post of the thread (on the first page) even when the thread is more than one page
So for example, for: [NEW ZX81 GAME RELEASE] Mayhem
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=930
Clicking the "View first unread post" icon (link shows as viewtopic.php?f=4&t=930&view=unread#unread)
But I Actually get -new-zx81-game-release-mayhem-t930.html#unread which returns the first post of the thread.
If I then click on "First unread post" at the top right, I now do get the first unread post (-new-zx81-game-release-mayhem-t930.html ... ead#unread).
Also, again on the "View active topics" page, if I try to go direct to any page except the first page on a multi-page thread, I find I always end up on the first page instead
I'm using Firefox 15.0.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

Then I did as you did and noticed that Rich had changed the URL. But what got me confused was that when I first tried to log in at the old URL it looked like it half worked. Until I clicked a link on the page, where it promptly dropped me back to the main page...

Yep, this is happening to me as well...PokeMon wrote:By the way, adding a post will not show the last post after sending it, it jumps to the first post of the thread.
Not convenient if threads have more than one page.

Re: Logo for the forum? Easier URL?
I found the "format" is more a banner than a logo.yerzmyey wrote:LOGO:

Couldn't be pressed very good in a format 4:3 or 16:9.
Anyway would be good to have somethin can be used in a 2:1 rectangle format or even in a square format for a favicon for example.
Re: Logo for the forum? Easier URL?
Squeezing a PNG is pointless, so a question:
does anybody use COREL?
If so, I can provide You the *.cdr file with the logo.

Re: Logo for the forum? Easier URL?
This is really odd - it is working on mine (although I have cleared the browser cache) - maybe it depends on the browser being used too...1024MAK wrote:Was going round the bend with this yesterdayBill H wrote:You need to put some note on the home page or login page - I logged in 5 or 6 times before I started looking around for why it wasnt working and found the post about the new url

I think I will have to bite the bullet and move to the latest phpBB and remove the mods which are already on the forum... It looks as though the SEO MOD is struggling with the URL change for some weird reason!!

Re: Logo for the forum? Easier URL?
Hmm the SEO MOD was really confused - some links worked, others didn't....
I have now reinstalled the basic phpBB using the latest version and added just 2 mods - I have also uploaded the new logo into the header
Any problems - please let me know
I am still thinking we should have a home page for www.sinclairzxworld.com - any suggestions as to what to put on it - it doesn't want to be just links...

Re: Logo for the forum? Easier URL?
I have started work on a home page for sinclairzxworld.com - it is available at www.sinclairzxworld.com/intro for now - the links are currently inoperative
I am sure people will have comments on the content and hopefully a better idea for the layout!

Re: Logo for the forum? Easier URL?
Is this why the "View active topics" links find "No suitable matches"...RWAP wrote:Hmm the SEO MOD was really confused - some links worked, others didn't....

Still at least the "View first unread post" problem is gone
