Re: ZX81 BASIC Programming Book
Thank you. I had the smaller version, also spiral-bound but with a plastic spiral
I see what the problem is with Appendix A. Character 135 is showing the ZX80 character, not the ZX81 character. The folding Reference Card shows both

Where did you see the printer’s information in the First Edition? I couldn't find it.

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb

Re: ZX81 BASIC Programming Book
Interesting!
None of my four have that printed on page 212.
I assume there must have been at least two print runs of this edition then.

Re: ZX81 BASIC Programming Book
I just got another First Edition today and it has got the Leagrave Press info on page 212.
Either they didn’t put their name in to start with or it was two companies. Guess we will never know.
So I now have:
Spiral bound -
4 * First edition from 6 King’s Parade - no obvious mention of who printed them
1 * First Edition from 6 King’s Parade - printed at The Leagrave Press
1 * Second Edition 1981 from 6 King’s Parade - printed at The Leagrave Press
3 * Second Edition Reprinted 1982 from 6 King’s Parade - printed at The Leagrave Press
Perfect bound -
1 * Second Edition Reprinted 1982 (212 pages) from 25 Willis Road - printed at The Leagrave Press
3 * Second Edition Reprinted 1983 (160 pages) from 25 Willis Road - printed by Richard Clay Ltd

Re: ZX81 BASIC Programming Book
Leagrave press was dissolved on the 9th of this month.
During WW2 it was the production and packing facility of the S.O.E ( Special Operations Executive ) print works apparently.
