WOW, that would really be cool to see this in real!
There will be many ZX81 around, maybe you better bring this one instead?

Very interesting, never viewed this site before. Nice pictures, nice description. Unfortunately I miss my first ZX81 team meeting due to business. :o

Well, it would be rather importan in my situation because I asked my brother and he said if only me and him go, then we would have to use the train (the one to Berlin). Hence we would have to use a "car-hospitality" ;) ;) ;) of some person(s) coming from Berlin.

Like I wrote before, the motherboard itself is rather small but it is designed to be mounted in ATX box. So the entire computer is rather huge (not to mention heavy PC power-supply).
If we go by car, then I could take it with me.
This is most interesting machine.

I asked as promised http://forum.tlienhard.com/phpBB3/viewt ... =619#p4785 and it seems the only two comming from Berlin are taking the Bus to get to Braunschweig to meet someone who also take another Person with him so Peters car will be full. I guess they don't own a car.
There are cheap german weekend tickets for trains as well if you don't take the fastest trains.
Maybe you send me a PM with the place you live in (i still cannot find rubberplanet on google maps, it only finds Rubberplantage near Delft in the Netherlands) and I can try to find an affordable way to Mahlerts at least from the german border for you.

He finally resigned today. There will be a new president before the meeting starts.

If I should be able to take the ZX Eva, then I have to force my brother to move his a*s*s with me, by car. :) :)
It is a nice machine.

It's a pity nobody goes by car from Berlin, but You know - the capital-city, so probably everybody had C64 in there, hahahaha. :)

I've added you and your brother to the list of participants.
You want to stay from friday 23rd until sunday 25th of march?
You both will come by car?

Thx a lot.
Yes, we should arrive on Friday in the evening, I suspect. We would leave on Sunday (almost 1000 Km, You know).
We will come by car.

Thx man, but I'm afraid there are far beter guys, heheh. Anyway, I hope we will manage to come.
As for the Eva isn't bad - and actually the main chips are original (Z80, AYs) and only ROM/ULA are programmable.

I will keep You informed.

I was wondering.
If we manage to come - would there be anybody able to fix a ZX81?
The Timex 1000 to be exact.
I bought it once - the seller said it's OK.
But it wasn't. I have only one TV-set with NTSC, I tested the computer and it shows nothing on the screen.
Maybe it is only a white screen (or maybe even nothing, as I wasn't able to check out if the white screen was generated by the Timex or was it just... a white blank screen, hehe :) ).
