Hopefully, we will have the webcam on view at the Sinclair QL meeting this weekend, so people have a peek what is going on over in Germany :D

This one looks nice - Zeddy laptop seem to have a tape integrated in the middle.

Well some of the users at the QL show managed a quick look see - although it was hard to work out what was going on in some pictures - would have been better with a means of typing comments alongside the webcam !! :) Maybe next year

No, that is the hinge for the display. This Zeddy has an USB port (left back corner) and does not need a tape any more.

I would like to thank Peter and every body who helped for organizing this splendid meeting.
My special thanks go to our international guests who made this meeting an extraordinary exciting event.
I am looking forward to our next meeting (19th to 21st of April 2013) and hope we will have another great time then.
Best regards Paul
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Hello guys!

I just wanted to let You know we managed to come home without any problems (and no tickets from police, for speeding, this time ;) ;) ;) ).
I'd like to say "HUGE THANKS!!" for the organizers of the party and to all visitors of it!
We have met a lot of great people from many countries, see incredible hardware projects, a lot of new interesting programs etc.
It was a real pleasure to meet You all in person at last and the meeting had a great atmoshpere! :)

Once again - many thanx for all!!!! :)

As for the new ZX81 software from me, here is a new program I made especially for the ZX81 Party in Mahlerts http://zx81.republika.pl/gasman.zip that was possible to watch and hear on the meeting (of course NOT loudly - Bodo warned me by e'mail, before the party: "NO noises"! ;) ;) ;) ;) ), so if anybody missed it - here is is.
It's a music-collection for ZX81 with ZXpand and AY-module (in ZonX standard). If anybody could adjust it for MefisDos or others, it would be cool. Also maybe somebody would be able to prepare it for tape-recorder users (then supposedly all the data would have to be incorporated into the main *.P file). All the infos are in TXT file.
Enjoy. :)

Best regards,
Yerzmyey

Hi Yerz
I will adapt it to USB and MEFISDOS and will post the result this evening.

I find it hard to find enough words of praise for Peter who tirelessly organised what was a hugely successful event. The level of care and attention that was lavished on everyone present was spectacular! The surroundings were beautiful - not that anyone went into the outside world ;¬) The facilities were unmatched by any other event I've ever attended. Comfortable accommodation, wonderful food and beer - oh my the beer - made me wish I never had to leave :D

I am totally humbled by the generosity of the members of the ZX-Team who made us feel utterly at home and welcomed with open arms. Everyone spoke to us in perfect english - putting me to shame with my tiny knowledge of German language! My hand is still sore from the enthusiastic greetings of everyone there - I must say I now know how a rock star must feel ;¬, I hope now to count myself as a fully-paid-up member :ugeek:

To be in the presence of so many other zeddy fans many of whom have been scene members since the start and who's work you'll surely recognise was a very exciting experience. It would be unfair to mention names as the family - because that's what it truly felt like - operate as one to advance the great hobby that is zx-fandom :D There was such an openness and culture of sharing.

To finally put faces to names has added so much to my enjoyment of this forum and the posts made by so many people who I now can recognise not by an avatar but in the flesh. I have booked my ticket for next year and I highly recommend making the trip. It will be an experience to never forget - I promise :)

Here it is: I made a subroutine at line 1000, which contains the code to load a file with name given in variable S$ to address 32768.
Currently the commands for MEFISDOS are activated there, but the users of other mass storage devices (USB-stick, floppy ...) should put their LOAD code there.
