I spent a holiday in Sowerby Bridge near Halifax where we spent a lot of time in "The Bride", "The Fleece Inn" and "The Blue Ball Inn" in July 1981.
When I revisited Yorkshire by bike in 1992 my aunt invited me to a meal in "The bridge". My cousin drove me and my wife from Halifax to there and he was astonished that i knew all the pubs we passed by name. From Google I see that the good pubs seem to survive ;)

Please don't expect a single minute for sightseeing. Though we do not close the doors, nobody besides the wifes wants to go for a walk.
At our first meeting 15 years ago, we did, but only about 200m away from the meeting, the first one asked: "When do we return?"
If you are a smoker, you will find some minutes outside the house to have a look around the country side, but because it's so much exciting inside ......

LOL I think you're right ;)

As long as we don't run out of beer... speaking of which - I'm looking forward to trying some artisan brews ;)

By the way Zschopower, would You be so kind and point me on the Internet any WWW site of the meeting, and what I mean exactly, is some set of photos from previous meetings?
I'm really interested in it, and on the other hand I barely can afford coming (sadly).

I don't know if there is a photo archive anywhere, but Willi made a report
http://www.looser-company.de/seite38.html
It is written in german and the style isn't meant to be serious, so maybe translation is a bit harder than usual.
There you can find quite some pictures in it, mostly without the "crowd" that is usually around the tables.

If you can manage to come there, as our english guests, you will be invited for free accomodation and meals (and drinks as well).

It would be great to meet you there.
I am not shure if anybody of our members live on your way and can even give you a lift. As I live in the very western end of Germany and you, if I get this right, come from the opposite direction, I can not be of much more help. Sorry.

Hi sirmorris, I am afraid I am not familiar with the expression "artisan brews", can you give me a hint?

I think Charlie Means.."Excellent beers brewed by master craftsmen" or Artisans.

I wondered because "artisan brew" is very often used in combination with "home brew", from my experiences two things that do not belong together ;)
And from what I remember those beers we had were all professional made.
I still remember those homebrew kits from Boots

Aaaah, thanks a lot, that's very interesting indeed. That's exactly what I ment.

That is most generous, and who knows, maybe I'd took the opportunity, even if not entirely (would be really _too_ improper :) :) :P ).
Well, although with Womo (Wolfgang) we knew each other only by Internet but we were really good friends for years.
I was always promising him I would come to the ZX-TEAM's ZX81 party one day - and there were always some obstacles.
And now sadly it's too late. So I feel like I owe him to do it finally.

> It would be great to meet you there.

Heh, it would be great to BE there and meet all the famous ZX81 masters from both forums. ;)
Surely I'd take my machine (standard config in my case - ZX81 16K, MP3 player - hahaha - and small TV-set).
Would be cool to be able to show You the newest ZX Spectrum model - 'ZX Evolution' from NEDO PC company - but it's huge in the ATX box, so I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to do that.

I was checking out the train connections.
Seems like there is one direct connection: to Berlin. It's signed "Berlin Ostbf" to be exact (I'm not entirely sure what does it mean).
Maybe somebody would travel by car from Berlin to Fulda (and back)?
Of course with the traditional party-travel custom, I'd add my money-part to the gasoline.

Well, I'm just checking 'the ground'. ;)

"Berlin Ostbf" just says its the east train station of Berlin.
I asked in the german forum if someone comes fron that direction because I am not shure where they all come from

You can also post there in english or use a translation tool.
