I Guess I Get A Bit Uppity

Dearest Fellow Sinclair Patrons,

I believe it will be far better for me to appologize en masse.

I have been under a wee bit o' stress of late and it has come to my
attention that I have become a bit uppity (as we call it here in the
Arizona desert). Actually, I know a few folks who would choose a
somewhat more colorful term for me than uppity.

I wish that I could blame my behaviour on the heat, but it has barely
passed 100F. No biggie in these parts. Most likely, I'm just an ass.
On that point, I hope at least that I am wrong.

I have a problem texting and understanding the tone of texting.
Forum boards appear to be but a giant form of texting, hence, perhaps,
my inability to respond 'coherently' (well maybe the beers....whatever).

I have had one hell of a last few months.

I truely hope that Siggy, Moggy, Sir Morris, RWAP, And The Rest Of You,
will put up with me in the months and years to come.

And, yes, I'm one of you, so I'm not going away.....

Don't worry - I think we should all adopt thick skins anyway, as we have to realise that humour does not always translate very well across to other countries or languages, and let's face it, not everyone on this forum is from the UK, nor do they all speak English as a first language.

I always take what I read in email / forum messages etc with a pinch of salt - it is so much easier when seeing someone face to face to recognise the nuances in what they are saying and know when they are just saying something with a smile!

I am not very savy in these text things, as I mentioned. Kinda funny for a guy who started
with BBS's back in the 300baud days (compuserve, et. al., you know).

I kinda miss waiting for the words to scroll across....
