Egg on my face

Post by RWAP »

Luckily the egg is only on my face - I managed to make a mess of the forums, so if you have lost any topics, my apologies. Certainly the picture attachments seem to be up the swanny....

However, I have managed to rescue the majority of things

I luckily had backups - but the forum was last backed up at 1am on 24th (server time, about 5 hours behind UK time), so we lost a few posts.

The files were also all backed up on the server - at least I have now got all my forums etc running on the one server, under one hosting company now, and I know that they handle all the backups every 24 hours.

Forums, over a period of time, become a repository of knowledge for the future. I've seen way too many important things being lost forever when databases are lost or get corrupted. :( Thank you for your work Rick. I hope this forum and the info it contains will be here for a long time.
