If I'd known ahead of time I would have warned him that it's 35 years old. I'm lucky it didn't crack open during shipment. These cases are pretty garbage and not meant for shipping.

Wow. I have had plenty of badly packaged items but never one which just wasn’t packaged at all!

I spoke to the seller who said that he had shipped it in a box and that it was clean when it was shipped. I've never had USPS remove an item and repackage it like this. I have seen them open a box for reasons but they have always left some kind of note on the outside.

Maybe I'm especially lucky that everything was protected within the briefcase.
