Thanks for that Rich, i have ordered a membrane from yourself and payed via paypal, much easier than filling in lots of details
The clock thing is interesting, i have already started work on it, it's tricky to get a stable strobe effect but not impossible.

The Membrane arrived today well packed in a cardboard backed DO NOT BEND envelope along with concise and clear instructions that explain how to replace your ZX81 keyboard membrane. The membrane itself is of very good construction slightly thicker than an original membrane, the tails are approx 15mm ...

I always wondered about the extra molding suggesting a different TV output.
