Re: Who's on first? (your first Sinclair products)

The problem with zeddies is that unlike say a Tatung Einstein, it is easy to lose track of how many you have as they are so small (they slip into drawers and lurk in cupboards) and generally quite cheap to buy. For years I have been trying to maintain my innocence as to the quantity of them I have. ...

Re: Who's on first? (your first Sinclair products)

Mine was the ZX81 below. It was strictly speaking the family computer but I was the only one who showed any interest (obsession is probably a better word). Re: ZX81 ULA

There is the vLA81 when available. Other than that it is luck of the draw on eBay for one.

You could of course buy an untested zeddy pretty cheaply and borrow the ULA but then you have another one to do something with...

But the golden rule is that no zeddies get harmed!

Some 1K type ins

I got some magazine cuttings with a zeddy recently and they have 1K type ins. They are doubtless already in magazines but here they are anyway. 8D19F651-A7BE-4DC5-9963-1B4CE2BF3CD6.jpeg F4FE86BF-22C8-47E9-8BB6-F9BB69F7E878.jpeg 99517FCF-3533-4192-8E81-4F532BC1C4AE.jpeg CB2CF6D5-0806-48D2-9FCE-A6BBF6...

Re: Internal 16K mod question

Good stuff! I don’t think I have ever filled in the holes and have done maybe 15 or 20 16K RAM mods. I do this mod from Mark for 16K internal RAM. It is also easy to do 32K this way (if using a vLA81 for example): http://8and16bit.blogspot.com/2015/08/modifying-sinclair-zx81-issue-1-pcb-to.html?m=1 ...

Re: FIF. Another FORTH.

A ZXPAND version sounds very interesting! Presumably even with Forth loaded you would still have over 16K RAM for the user’s program? Also (hopefully) nice easy to use routines to allow you to load and save data into the program from the ‘spand?

It's a bloody shame Pokemon isn't making ZX8-CCB's any more.
Has he stopped completely do we know or just having a break due to current circumstances?
