Be careful with what you use to get rid of the pen marks, I occidentally dropped a blob of acetone on my space key and it dissolved the legend in a flash!

It seems the previous owner has left the tiny stickers off that go on the ridge at the front of the keys and just used felt tip pen. :(

Don't worry about the tarnish it's quite common on Mostek chips and I agree with Karl re timing as I'm sure Andy has had similar problems with certain roms when creating devices for himself.
