Re: ZX80 8K ROM original keyboard layout

Well, it turns out you can simulate having RESTORE with a line number by manipulating the DATADD system variable, as shown in the attached code... so not too bad. Re: ZX80 8K ROM original keyboard layout

Rich, yes but that would be for the 4K ROM. This is for the pre-production 8K, I made it because there only seemed to be low resolution versions available. Ah sorry - what is the difference then? Good evening all... well, I can't start building my ZX80Core until the weekend, so I thought I'd have a play with something else. Presenting... my attempt at recreating the original 8K BASIC keyboard overlay. I used Grant Searle's templates as a starting point, the various available images of the or...

Re: ZX80 Case Logo size?

That's a very nice Origami case! Is it just folded cardboard? Or did you use a washing up liquid bottle, unrolled flat?

A new way of getting composite video, eh? Looking forward to hearing about that - I love it that there are always new discoveries to be made where the ZX80/81 is concerned!

Re: looking for someone in London to help me troubleshoot a

Here's something from another life 30 years ago... connect the MIC socket of the ZX81 to something that will let you hear the output, e.g. connect it to the 3.5mm input of one of those wireless speakers people use with their phones these days. When you plug in the ZX81, you might start hearing a low...

Re: The music-album made on ZX81+ZXpandAY+MrX! :)

Hi, just gonna chip in here... I'm no expert, but I used to have a friend from the US and he would plug his appliances into a converter when he was in Germany, to adapt plug for the German sockets. Bottom line is, half the time they didn't work. Things like lamps often worked, but anything electroni...
