That was a typo I tried both 03.07 and 07.03. I'll try your sample when I get home.

Re: ZXblast - ZX81 memory extension plus USB
I'm having a problem setting the date and time! If I change date to say 06.07.2017 and the current time it doesn't work. The value I input will flash briefly on the screen then change to 1F.00.2089 and a different time. Is this an error message?
What am I doing wrong.

Re: ZXblast - ZX81 memory extension plus USB
My ignorance of the ZX81's architecture is showing, I'm not a hardware guy. Would a character table located at a lower address work, say $C000. I was thinking it would be interesting if there was a "GAME" ROM. Kind of a mash-up of a ZX81 & ZX80 ROM. Use the video driver from the 81 and integer math ...

Re: ZXblast - ZX81 memory extension plus USB
Converting a UDG program to run with ZXBlast ought not be too difficult, just make a ROM image and replace the normal character patterns with the UDG patterns then load that in ZXBlast. Next do a search of the program and find the instructions which change the character table vector, usually... LD A...

Re: Finding Artic ZX Assembler 2
If your using Windows, I'd recommend trying XavSnaps emulator located at
http://zx81.vb81.free.fr/.
It's much more that an emulator, it can import and export text files into ZXAS, save programs as p file or text and a bunch more stuff, no C knowledge needed.

Version 2 is Carlo Delhez's modified version. It used to be available on his website, but is no longer active since he went to the great coder's paradise in the sky. Maybe a Google search will find another download site.

Re: Odyssey Computing - Invaders
I found a manual for Odyssey Hi-Res graphics, an extended BASIC package for use with the ZX81. From reading the manual it is clear they are using some form of Pseudo Hi-Res video driver, I've attached the cover and last page. If anyone wants the whole thing let me know, 900K. I don't have the progra...
