Re: first working example from Boriel’s ZXBasic Compiler, finally

I am not the brightest technically but this particular emulator uses the Zonx ports which I suspect are different to the quicksilva ones. Also remember to set the "unreal" option in the menu or some of the envelopes won't sound at all. I find that this is the only emulator usable(for the ZX81)for tr...

Re: ZXpand bandwidth?

V2.5 is available for testing HERE . I think there is an issue relating to commander but as I only have half-working ZXpands myself it's difficult to diagnose. Of course it might be the fact that my ZXpands need servicing... C @ Charlie Does this new burst rate mean I finally get to hear Dark...

Re: ZX Printer Belt

Cannot comment on your first example but speaking as a former Makita(not Mikita as in the ad) service centre owner, the second example will not work as it is far too stiff for this application. But maybe these then: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Black-Rubber-Speed-Control-Drive-Timing-Belt-54-Teet...

Re: ZX Printer Belt

This is an upside though I have about forty rolls of ali' paper left thus making me the biggest ZX paper stockist in the world!! Flog it on eBay (one roll at a time as R@RE, one last roll remaining, low start price...) and you may make enough money to retire  Still all slightly tongue in...

Re: Early ZX81 ULAs

Can confirm the CPU is the Franco-Italian one as I have had one or two over the years and checked their source at the time, may still have one somewhere in the spares box.

Re: New version emulator ZEsarUX-4.0

Just one more note on this on Cesar's thread: for the high fidelity of the "Unreal" AY option, credit is due to the Unreal Speccy project, and to Yerz for making me aware of it :) I would stress though that in this emulators implementation the unreal option only makes the AY sound as it would on a ...

Re: New version emulator ZEsarUX-4.0

Here is Olofsons latest w32 version of his emulator which I hope he doesn't mind me putting here and for those with the knowledge of these things perhaps something can be learned for their own emulator development, also a link to the emulator which I'll remove if I've been too presumptuous . http://r...

Re: New version emulator ZEsarUX-4.0

@ Andy Eriks emulator now fully AY functional as far as your trio of programs go. The problem as far as I can make out is that he includes a feature for the AY called "unreal". I found that when it's switched it off to give standard ZONX output the AY reproduction is not 100% switch it on and the AY...
