ZX +128 12v rail issues
Hi, I'm refurbishing a Toastrack for a friend, blue yellow ghosting fix sound leveling etc. I found two wide horizontal dark bands in the display , 20230306_005559.jpg I though it could be 100Hz ripple and I found a 2v ripple at the "9v" input, using an original PSU giving 11.7v with machine on. It ...

Eighty-one used ram?
Hi, is there a way to see used RAM wit EO?
That being used by the listing, variables or Displayfile?
I see a lot of data I can't use at the debugging window but couldn't find RAM usage anywhere.

Re: No video out on Timex Sinclair 1000
Now you can set the scope properly re test ULA pin 16.. you should see a video signal at 15khz no matter if Z80 is good or not. it only depends on the resonator signal to make a completely white screen.

Re: Timex 2068 Common Faulty Components Question
I don't have it at hand right now but you can search for the service manual online. Follow the power supply troubleshooting.. I remember there is a "transistor " Q1 acting as a regulator that should have 5v at its collector. Voltages are managed completely differently than in ZX spectrum or other cl...

Re: No video out on Timex Sinclair 1000
I am afraid you have a faulty ULA, at least partially as it seems to drive the CLK OK. best way to confirm that is trying a known good ULA. Luckily yours is on a socket.
