Re: Some questions about ZXPand+ serial port

RS232 communication is not as simple as you might think. RS232 requires a steady baudrate. This is easy on the PC side where you have a chipset with hardware handshake and interrupts. Hardware handshakes are not available on the ZX81, so we have to use software handshake (XON/XOFF). And the interru...

Re: ZX Basic vs Commodore V2.00 (Vic 20)

Mathematical functions simple and complex can be defined within a string in zx81 basic and the evaluation of said function, after whatever values needed are entered, can be called by simply asking the strings value. That would require a GOSUB or GOTO. Regards, Shaun. Not sure what you're driving at...

Re: 2k adventure

I won't be expanding it. As a 2K Adventure game it was a development novelty only--a fun exercise in coding. A full-RAM version with more rooms and features would require a redesign of some of the compromises to make to fit into 2K, and Adventure games abound in the wilds. (I think the one I posted...

Re: ZX81 Berzerk Clone

I remember a colour interface back then though sadly not the name. I do remember though it was housed in a white case identical to the rampack used by Stonechip electronics for their Panda range of rampacks. It may be the one mentioned in this advertisement. https://www.sinclairuser.com/021/hardwre....
