Re: AY Extended BASIC

So, both emulators will do it automagically?

I use zxtext2p to convert .bas to .p and these use sz81 for emulation. The format of the .bas files for AY Basic are not in a format that zxtext2p uses and I was thinking there was another utility.

Re: AY Extended BASIC

Greg,

Just curious about what tool you use to convert from .BAS to .P?

Re: AY-3-8910 (AY/YM) music generation?

I've never used a soundtracker and I'm interested in tinkering with Andy's ZX81 SoundTracker. Is there any manual? I've found a series of articles on soundtrackers on the Spectrum for ZXFormat magazine, but it is heavy reading. It would be nice to have an example of taking some sheet music and conve...

The forth issue of ZXzine is now available. It can be found on my Google sites page:

https://sites.google.com/site/svenqhj/home

Just look at list of files. There is ZXzine4.pdf and ZXzine4.zip (which contains the programs and source code).

Re: TS1500 Owner Manual

The T/S 1500 User Manual is already posted online:

http://www.sinclair.hu/speccyalista/kon ... Manual.pdf

The physical look is more inline with the T/S 2068 manual than the T/S 1000 manual. The T/S 1500 was released just a few months before the T/S 2068 was.

Re: ZX81 assembler development on Linux

For Linux, I use sz81. I find it fast and easy to use with a little GUI that lets me quickly select the file I want to load. The latest version of sz81 support HRG graphics. For ASM I do use Pasmo, but I've not attempted the listing that you are talking about. For doing BASIC programming, I use zxte...

blittled,

What years were you in Wash DC and involved with CATS? I was a member of that group from early 1989 until early 1993. I remember many a meeting at the New Carrolton Library.

Re: ZX81 / TS1000 User Groups in USA (Chicago land area)?

There was the Chicago Area Timex Users Group which had the newsletter "Nite Time News". As far as I know they have disbanded. This user group was all inclusive (ZX81, T/S 2068 & QL). Bob Swoger is still active in a CoCo group in Chicago and I believe that group might allow some Sinclair discussion. ...
