Trying to take pics of PCBs
Based on your experience, what is the best way to take pictures of motherboards, interface PCBs, etc? My camera may be a little bit old (Olympus C-700) is a little bit old or I may not know how to choose the proper settings, not sure. But my pictures always come out blurry, even with auto-focus on. ...

Build hardware for a price?
Is there among us (or maybe among the ZX81 German group) who would be willing to build interfaces, cables or adapters for a price? I ask this because: 1-There are many interesting, exciting ideas for the ZX81 and compatibles 2-The instructions, schematics, diagrams for such ideas are usually availab...

Re: Cassette player for the ZX-80/81?
Hi Paul. Welcome! If you don't mind asking, where do you live? If you're in the U.S. like me, I might have some of the things you need. The TS1000, for example, was one of them. Regarding the cassette player, here in the U.S. you can still go to a Radio Shack store and buy the ones they used to sell...

Re: DDC Colour Interface for ZX-81
I'm not sure how popular the add-ons for the ZX81 were, but I know that here in the U.S. they weren't popular at all. You see lots of ads on old mags but you rarely see one on eBay, or someone saying 'I have one of those'. It seems there was a boom of interest and new stuff for the ZX81 in its first...

Re: backplane
I know there's instructions, not schematics nor eagle files, for backplane expansion PCBs for the ZX81 and TS2068, but I can't remember where I saw it. :| It might be on the book 'Powerful projects for your TS2068', which can be adapted for the ZX81, or in one of the Sync magazines. Sorry. I've been...

Re: Can ZX81 load progs directly from MP3 player?
Replying to the original question, yes they can. But instead of messing around with slow baud loading, check this out: http://code.google.com/p/otla/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4xyDdIdVKk http://personal.auna.com/casariche/otla/otla1.htm (in Spanish) The conversion isn't automatic, but it's eas...

Re: Software for Timex RS232 interface
Thanks Rich.
Oh well, how good is an interface without its software? I guess I'm gonna let this one go.
