Good luck with the search.
I agree on using real hardware, but sometimes (most times) its easier to use an emulator when the TV is rubbish but she who must be obeyed is watching it.

Re: Vertical Scroller by mistake
Cant you use an emulator and save the image when needed. Once you have the program working save and convert to a wav for use on the real hardware. Benschop Forth 83 is very good, but its for the Spectrum. You can save to tape, microdrive, IF1bis or any other media storage thats compatible with the 4...

Re: Vertical Scroller by mistake
mrtinb I can reproduce the word SHOW. This is just showing the contents of the 620 memory locations allocated to SHOW. The characters displayed arent exactly the same but that may be because were are using different hardware or emulators. Im not sure what you are trying to achieve with the second (s...

Im sure the last ZX81 I got had either the ULA or Z80 with an 84 date code. All ICs were soldered directly to the PCB.

Yes, IF1bis and Harlequin run fine together. How many LEDS on IF1 are lit when you enter RUN?

Re: Cheetah Joystick
Thanks for the list... Im sure I have the first one - great game!.
Its looking like its a Kemptson compatible, and I have now seen it on WOS listed as a Spectrum interface. Maybe it works on both, at least the ZX81 didnt burn out when I attached it.
Ah well, the search continues.

Re: Cheetah Joystick
Thanks guys
I/F is in the cave so I cant do anything with it tonight. What you said was fascinating but beyond me. I think I can write enough code to read a joystick position and print the number to screen.
Now, what ZX81 games were compatible with it?
