ZXpand Amusing Incompatibility

I thought I was going insane as zxpand didn't quite work right on my first zx81 so I always assumed it was me being stupid.

Turns out it doesn't quite work right on Issue 1 boards with the two chip ROM mod on CPU (no idea what this mod is called).

Re: Memotech Interfaces

MT06-03 is the Hi-res pack, MT07-02 the Centronics, MT09-02 the 16k rampack. Pity You haven't got MT11-02 the Z80 assembler pack, the most useful of the lot. Moggy EDIT MT11-02 is also the part no for the Memotext word processor, but as the board is identical except for the omission of a chip here ...

Re: Inserting Membranes

Hi RWAP, I am planning to get your membranes for the machines which have crumbled so much that there is nothing left of the ribbon (there is at least one, it literally disintergrated into flakes). But there is also some joy in repairing using the original parts. Using a combo of Mark and sirmorris m...

Inserting Membranes

Ok, having recently got a load of old zx81s most with cracked membranes, what is the trick for inserting then back into the molex connectors once shortened down?

The pins on those connectors seem far to stiff for the floppiness of the zx81 membrain.
