Re: ZX81 Toddy Forth-79

It has been a pleasure to test this most excellent Forth79 for the ZX81 and thanks to Roganjosh too for his equally excellent version of Forth79 which I have had the pleasure of testing, we now have 2 versions of this languages dialect. Both have been approached from a different angle and have their...

Re: Lardo buys another zeddy

Nice Lardo. I have a soft spot for those Stonechip memory packs, more reliable than Clive's offerings in my opinion. They use a different memory chip to the Sinclairs(Mark will know which ones) and if you pop the back cover off (clip on on not screwed) there should be a set of clips that take a 16k ...

Re: Help on MIC-Output ZX81

Also as Mark has previously pointed out, the output from the 81 is so low that the amplification level required is very large. In my experience with audio work something like a good guitar pick with an output of 50-100 mv requires at least two stages of pre amplification for a decent usable signal o...

Re: FIF. Another FORTH.

Quick question re the maths operators which whilst specific to FIF could apply to others I suppose. The zeddy computes and displays to 8 decimal figures but FIF/Forth to 10 (with reasonable scaling) so does FIF use it own standalone maths operators or does it pinch something from zeddies ROM then ad...

Re: Alphacom 32 PSU?

Same plug size as zeddy power pack and obviously corresponding socket. No, Zeddy uses 3,5 mm plugs, the printer 2,5 mm plugs. Must have been the Venusian loobdingle translation matrix I was using, sorry. ;) @Lardo. And don't forget to put the tenner inside my card this year, you forgot last time. :...
