Chr 14 used for the snake is also part of the score display so another chr code needed.

OK understood, not sure how it will look on other levels and if anything else clashes as I can't get past screen one!!

Both work fine.

Making progress but unfortunately using the "S and Z" chr for the snake is messing up the menu and the word SCORE and SAND so not sure what to do about it and whether its acceptable, I would change the code but I don't have the skills or indeed the right to do that.

I might have a bash at UDGs for this like I did for Tut-Tut. Any chance of a list of what letters represent which monsters, amulets treasure etc?
