I have my ZX80 comp' modded with a ccb module and whilst it's ok on my colour CRT TV I get some bottom line distortion on my LCD TV which no amount of adjustment will get rid of.

I don't know anything about the game in question but I would say that the parallax jobby is possible using the 81's standard Character set as Don Priestley managed it with City Patrol.

The platen roller grip on this printer is fairly good so I would look to the pinch rollers that hold/space the paper and see if they are spaced correctly and not causing any binding,if the tube-spacer-inside the-paper method as described in some articles is used incorrectly then it might cause the r...

Not sure if those involved are aware but I'll mention it anyway.
DO NOT clean the rubber platen roller as it's conductive and forms part of the electrical circuit, cleaning it usually means faint or no print at all.

There was also a ZX81 style rampack for the ZX80 which if memory serves was a ZX81 item internally just badged differently for the 80.

That is great news, especially the fit of the teeth in the sprocket grooves. I couldn't have gotten them that close without the actual pieces you sent. As for not having the styli attached during your test, I would suspect that the printer doesn't know (or care) whether they are there or not. With ...

thanks for this Greg. Three of these games (compac-flatman and money grabber) were written by J. Dave Rogers(compac co-written with Colin Hogg) who I believe went on to bigger and better things in the world of gaming.
