It really is a proper demo, because it doesn't work properly on the latest sz81 emulator either (in zx81 mode, it does in zx80 mode)...! The "ZX80LP" button at http://rullf2.xs4all.nl/jszeddy/jszeddy.html prints every printed character to the printer area - so that would need a bit of formatting after a number of LIST commands, but perhaps it's something ;)

Just a few thoughts: With UDG, I guess 64 characters are supported rather than 128 different ones, unless one line in the source is changed. In LOAD, the address should indeed be specified in decimal, but that could easily be changed. Printing should cause a bitmap file to be created, in subfolder "...

The third and fourth bytes of a BASIC line contain its subsequent length - perhaps this should reflect the increased length because of MAKE-ROOM?

Thanks :) I think I'll have it running all night on real hardware - it works quite well even with monitor switched off and eyes closed ;)
