Re: Minstrel ZX80 Clone

Hi all,

I'm curious if anyone here has built one of these yet? I was thinking about ordering a pcb to test it out.

Best,

Re: ZXmore - infos & updates

Hi Karl,

I too am not in any rush, but I wanted to let you know I'm also interested in a ZXmore someday in case keeping track of the number of people interested in one is at all helpful. :)

Best,

Re: SYNTAX ZX80 and other docs

Mark, I suggest you also read this thread . Mark Hi Mark, Thanks for pointing me in all the right directions. I've been catching up on threads and looking at the other forums. The thread you mentioned above was one I had seen when I first started browsing this forum again and was one of the motivat...

Re: SYNTAX ZX80 and other docs

We would love to have the magazines, leaflets, booklets, flyers etc scanned. We would also love to have a main "central" archive for the ZX80 and ZX81. If anyone would like to start the ball rolling, or would like to help, please do let us know. Mark Hi Mark, That's very helpful to know. I would be...

SYNTAX ZX80 and other docs

Hi all, I recently acquired a pretty complete set of Syntax ZX80 issues and am going to begin scanning them and loading them to the Internet Archive. I also wanted to get your feedback about the value of other documentation? Where should I post those? Things like the ZX80 and ZX81 software catalogs,...

Re: ZXblast - ZX81 memory extension plus USB

Yay! I just got mine too. And it definitely lives up to its name - it is a Blast to use. I love it. I wasn't originally planning to buy the 512k one but that's what was available. But having the ability to run many instances is amazing. I'm really glad I got the 512k one afterall. Thanks Karl for su...

Re: ZX81 packaging

Nice kit very nice indeed. Is it a trick of the lens or are all those holes soldered over? The board looks like a very early issue one hence the "hand drawn" look. As for the chips The ULA # 2C210E is the last of the line and more importantly has the back porch missing from the previous incarnation...

The board is one I've only seen here. Even my issue one US ze...

Re: "Different" ZX81's

Thanks Moggy, that's good to know. I hadn't heard about the "back porch" issue until I started reading through these forums again. Not a day goes by on here without learning something new. :) I also still don't know enough about the different ULAs in circulation to know which ones have the issue and...
