You can always say that you can emulate the ZX81 on your ZX Spectrum.

Lomg time ago I made a kind of PROC in ZX Basic.
First line was a DEF FN with parameters and a USR CALL.
This stacked the parameters and the next lines were part of the PROC which ended with a RETURN. You could make recursive code too.

Alas... program is lost.

I made several games directly into a TAP-file.
Header and data directly written to a file.
