Re: Difficulty loading real tapes in EightyOne
over 30 years ago a friend of mine wrote a couple of adventure games for the 16K ZX81. Two year ago he passed the only cassette copy he has to me, knowing that I had both a real Zeddy and an emulator. I've tried but can't get it to load into either. There aren't any drop outs as such but the cassett...

Re: comp.sys.sinclair Crap Game Compo 2017
I have entered for the last six years or so...but seem low on inspiration. After Washing Machine Simulator, Parking Meter Simulator and Slow Cooker Simulator (plus branching out into a sports sim a few years ago) I am not sure where to head next.

Re: saving file as .p
I'm still struggling to get a program from Eighty One into the .P format
Could someone further explain the steps mentioned above? I can't find a version of Eighty One later than 1.0a and it doesn't have any ZXPand support.

Re: My ZX81 on YouTube
I've had various difficulties getting my two Zeddies to communicate adequately with my flat TV. My Issue 2 Spectrum is perfect via the UHF input, barring a bit of frequency drift as it warms up which is to be expected. In the end, my mum donated a cheap "Wharfedale" branded LCD TV/DCD combo unit bec...

Re: Another mystery .WAV from a tape
That makes perfect sense. The tape has my scrawl on it "ZX81 16K G, N, D, J, C, P
Which would be the loading names for each program.

Re: [NEW ZX81 GAME RELEASE] Mayhem
Bought the download today and have played enough to get 15 points....it's a lovely game, very fast....and I seem to have broken the keyboard membrane on one of my Zeddys playing it !
