I can test but only on LCD monitor as I no longer have a CRT monitor, also is this to be tested with UDG4ZXpand or just plain zeddy?

I doubt very much much the caps have anything to do with it, one's a filter and the other a reset cap and you're are positive that all the actives are OK having checked them all, the ROM socket however.

The 7805 should only produce only 5v or near enough not a mixture of 5v and 12v.

It just dawned on me that the Harpies should have flapping wings so for that, if want you it, use this alternative CHR block in place of the one already used.

There are some incorrect chrs in the menu still that need to be changed to the updated ones but that's beyond me I'm afraid.

Chr 14 used for the snake is also part of the score display so another chr code needed.
