Re: ZX-WESPI - add a cheap wifi-enabled fileserver to your Zeddy!

Yep, I did design one, but it's a custom job for the non-video Wespi PCB I drafted. It's the black and yellow box with the wires coming out of it at the top right, under above the TS-1000 badge. The PCB is a work-in-progress, a winter-time project that I'll likely dust off again come October... http...

Re: ZX-WESPI - add a cheap wifi-enabled fileserver to your Zeddy!

If your looking for a smaller board that does work - you can use this one https://a.co/d/7Lj2OZw I don’t think it has all the pins accessible for the LCD version of the WESPI - but it can definitely handle the minimal wespi (hooking up to SVP,IO22,VCC,GND pins) - I’ve done two zx81s with these alre...

Ah, interesting. I'll have to test for that once I get some sort of tape playback device.

Nice looking wiring! Very neat job.

Re: ZX-WESPI - add a cheap wifi-enabled fileserver to your Zeddy!

Very nice! Are you going to add an on/off switch to disable it for tape loading? Thanks! And I thought it automagically allowed for direct tape loading... page one of this thread says '.. It senses when a jack is connected for comms with a real tape recorder/maxduino/tzxduino and will not trigger' ...

Thanks! Still working off the rough edges -- literally, the last batch of PCBs were 1mm too long for the case. Filed them down to fit. Now to redesign the case to allow for that.

Re: ZX-WESPI - add a cheap wifi-enabled fileserver to your Zeddy!

Hi everyone, thought I'd jump on the ZX-Wespi PCB bandwagon so designed a board for the non-vga MI version. I have a Timex Sinclair 1000 and have decided to mount the Wespi externally. Mostly as the TS1000 has that aluminum spray RF shielding inside the case. Probably not a huge factor but why put s...

'morning all, long time retro-computing fan here, first time posting here :) Thanks for letting me in! Background: always interested in tech. It was new in the '70s-'80s so I was into it then. Now it's 'retro' and I'm still into it. Then there was a long gap, but now I've rediscovered my Timex Sincl...
