Re: ZX Spectrum load tape from android phone - Low Volume
PlayZX is a great app (free, no ads) for the android phone You can get it from the App Store or download directly off his web site Some of the most recent android phones don’t show it in the app store, but I’ve found downloading the ArmV8 versions and installing manually worked fine. It can handle s...

Or external ram that supports hi-res
This might be a nice way of doing it, if you don’t want to alter your zx81 away from its original state.

Re: hires 1k game not works
(I would definitely defer to Mark on electrical stuff!)
I guess this topic is then going down either the “new ram” or “new game” path

Re: ZX-WESPI - add a cheap wifi-enabled fileserver to your Zeddy!
Just wondering if anyone has designed up an external case for the ZX Wespi to housed in that can be 3D printed? Maybe PM bgrier? And put it in a case to keep things nice and tidy. (Click the up arrow to jump to his post) I guess there are a lot of esp32 cases on thingyverse that you could download ...

Re: A triumvirate of British computers
I never checked out the clean comp on the Atari 2600 as it wasn’t available at that stage. That might be a good compromise.

Re: A triumvirate of British computers
Is it worth it? I think so. I’m guessing my wife would think otherwise… :) Summary If I was doing it again, I would still do the upgrade. I would still feel conflicted about the expense and I’d hee & haw over it. But it’s sufficiently worth it for me, & I’d pull the trigger again. Probably More Deta...

Re: A triumvirate of British computers
I didn’t know about the Harmony cart, I’ll definitely check it out 👍 If you search YouTube for some reviews of it you’ll get a good idea of it. It’s pretty easy to download every original Atari2600 game ever made. It handles the original games (eg Battlezone) that remarkably run within the Atari’s ...

Re: A triumvirate of British computers
What do you reckon is the name for all these British beauties 😁 Love it! My original thought to your post was to friendly hassle you with “what about the beeb?” (model b), but I see you even have an Atom. I like the Atari 2600 (lite sixer) - about the only thing that is cheap here in the ...

Re: A triumvirate of British computers
Very Nice!
You could almost arrange them left to right in increasing memory order… 1,16,48,512(?)
The big question is what would the order be if we’re measuring impact?
